RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY LOCATED IN THE 1000 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by Sam Pardew and other adjacent property owners that a portion of an alley be abandoned as follows:
 
The south alley in the 1000 block of Huntington between Walnut Street and Nesbitt
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council is hereby directed to fix a date for the hearing of said petition giving notice of such meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper in Craighead County. Said notice to contain the names of the persons filing the petition and the portion of the alley to be abandoned and the petition shall be heard at the regular Council meeting on April 16, 1973, at 7:30 p.m. At that time, the Council will determine whether said property should be abandoned and whether the abutting property owners, if any, have consented to such abandonment.
