ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AND ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY TO WARD 1

THE COUNTY COURT OF CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, HAVING MADE AN ORDER ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO;
THE SOUTH 659.3 FEET OF THE EAST 402.5 FEET OF NORTHEAST QUARTER OF NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST; FOLLOWING THE FILING OF A PETITION FOR SUCH ANNEXATION, THE GIVING OF NOTICE AS REQUIRED BY LAW AND A HEARING THEREON ON THE 15TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1958, AND LILLIAN SCOTT ELDRIDGE BEING THE OWNER OF SAID LAND AND OTHER ADJACENT LAND ALREADY IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ALL OF WHICH SHE DESIRES TO PLAT AS ELDRIDGE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, AND THE PROPOSED PLAT HAVING BEEN APPROVED BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The annexation to the City of Jonesboro by the County Court of Craighead County
The South 659.3 feet of the East 402.5 feet of Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, is hereby approved and said land is hereby declared to be a part of Ward 1 of the City.
SECTION 2: Inhabitants of said area shall have and enjoy all rights and privileges possessed by inhabitants within the original boundaries of the City of Jonesboro.
