A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT THE SOLE SOURCE BID AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH VERMONT SYSTEMS FOR THE JOE MACK CAMPBELL PARK REMOTE CONTROL ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro already owns a software program purchased from Vermont Systems for scheduling Recreation Programs and requires an interface between the existing program, to operate controls for a remote Control Energy Efficient Lighting Project at the Joe Mack Campbell Sports Complex. The interface will allow the existing program to only energize those sports field lights where an activity has been scheduled. Additionally the contract will provide annual maintenance of the software program for a period of ten (10) years. And
WHEREAS, the sole source bid of $4,500 was submitted by Vermont Systems which was checked and approved by the City Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, 100% of the funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the ENERGY project account 09-350-0296-00, and shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor Harold Perrin, and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
