BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
      
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows:
 
The unimproved street right of way of East Street located on the north side of Cate Street, east of Church Street and west of Vandyne Street, more particularly described as follows:  Begin at the southwest corner of Lot 1 of Hurley and Moore's Addition; thence north 100'; thence east 40'; thence south 100'; thence west 40' to the point of beginning.
 
SECTION 2: A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the Deed records of such office.
 
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above streets and portions of streets are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above streets are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore and emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th of May, 1995.
