AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO REZONE FROM R-1 TO C-3 CERTAIN PROPERTY AT 2308 EAST PARKER ROAD.

WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain property generally located at 2308 East Parker Road, and has recommended to the City Council rezoning as described below:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classifications, from R-1 Residential to C-3 Commercial, for the following described property:
Begin at the Northwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas; Thence South 89 degrees 56'15" East along the North line of Section 33, Aforesaid, 286.2 feet; Thence South 20.0 feet the South Right of Way line of U.S. Highway #63 the Point of Beginning Proper; Thence South 89 degrees 56'04" East along said south right of way line 298.25 feet to the Westerly right of way line of Parker Road; Thence South 18 degrees 37.37" West along said Westerly right of way line 395.19 feet; Thence West 367.54 feet to the Easterly right of way line of Caraway Road; Thence along said easterly right of way line as follows: North 7 degrees 06'38" East 208.28 feet, North 55 degrees 51'54" east 88.13 feet, North 39 degrees 11'44" east 153.15 feet to the Point of Beginning Proper, containing 3.17 acres.
