AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 8.44 DOWNTOWN PARKING BY ADDING IN A PARKING LOT PREVIOUSLY LEFT OUT.

Body

WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Jonesboro adopted by reference Chapter 8 concerning downtown parking (Ord 07:15) replacing it with a revised code on August 7, 2007 and leaving out parking lot at the southwest corner of Monroe Ave and Church St. (Known as the FORUM PARKING LOT).

THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro:.

Section 1: 8.44.15 (B) shall be amended by including THE FORUM PARKING LOT as a two-hour (2hr) time limit parking lot.

Section 2: It is further found due to the immediate need to control the downtown improvement district parking an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
