AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE VEHICLES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that

SECTION 1: The sum of $871,800 is appropriated from the Unappropriated balance of the General Fund for the purchase of one fire ladder truck and one fire platform truck as approved in the adopted 2006 annual budget.

SECTION 2: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, begin necessary to provide for the purchase and financing of desired vehicles, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
