AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the City Planning Commission, by the changes in zoning boundaries as follows: From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3).
The east 180.0 feet of Lot 1 Block B of Gwyndale Sub-division of a part of Lot 2 of Charles A. Stuck’s Turtle Creek Ranch Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas. General location of this property is on the East side of Stadium Boulevard and North of the City Rural Electric Company Office.
The recommendation is made with the following stipulation: A buffer fence to be placed on the east side of the property line.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tracts of land described in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and therefore, this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
