AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF JONESBORO TRAVEL POLICY TO CLARIFY REIMBURSEMENT FOR TIPS AND PARKING EXPENSES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has an established travel policy governing employee reimbursement for travel expenses, and

WHEREAS, said policy needs clarification on reimbursement for tips and parking expenses to ensure compliance with state law.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:

1.                     The City of Jonesboro’s travel policy is hereby amended to include reimbursement for travel expenses to city employees for tips, up to 15% of the cost of the meal and parking expenses.

2.                     That any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed by the extent of said conflict.
