AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE O-EN-003-2012 TO INCLUDE THE COST OF SHIPPING THE DIGITAL CAR CAMERA SYSTEMS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has waived competitive bidding and authorized purchase of digital car camera systems for the police department fleet from TCS Ware, an only source, for the sum of $132,960.00; and
WHEREAS, the approved purchase price mistakenly did not include sales tax on the purchase price, which is $11,199.60.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance 12:001 Section Two shall be amended to remove the language "sales tax" in the costs included in the price and shall include a sales tax amount of $11,199.60 for a total purchase price of $$144,159.60.
SECTION 2: Due to the immediate need to acquire this equipment an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
