RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION AND ACCEPT THE FY21 BUSES AND BUS FACILITIES GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas was awarded the FY21 Buses and Bus Facilities Grant from the Federal Transit Administration in the amount of $752,000; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro will provide a 20% local match of $188,000 for the total project cost of $940,000; and,
WHEREAS, the FY21 Buses and Bus Facilities Grant will be used for JET bus shelter improvements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas will enter into agreement with the Federal Transit Administration and accept the FY21 Buses and Bus Facilities Grant for JET bus shelter improvements.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this contractual agreement.
