ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A 3% COST OF LIVING INCREASE TO ELECTED OFFICIALS WHO ARE NOT PART OF THE SALARY ADMINISTRATION PLAN

BE IT ORDAINED that Mayor Harold Perrin, City Clerk Donna Jackson, City Attorney Phillip Crego, Charles Frierson, Gene Vance, Jim Hargis, Chris Moore, Ann Williams, Chris Gibson, John Street, Mitch Johnson, Darrel Dover, Rennell Woods, Tim McCall and Mikel Fears; all of whom are not part of the salary administration plan, be provided a 3% cost of living increase for the 2009 budget year.

Section 1. This ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
