AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2007 ANNUAL BUDGET AND THE CITY PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT CITY ACCOUNTANT

Body

WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Finance Committee, to ensure sufficient staffing in the Finance Department that the position of Assistant City Accountant be added;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1:  The annual 2007 budget of the City of Jonesboro is amended by the addition of one Assistant City Accountant, Grade 18 in the amount of $38,234.37.

SECTION 2:  The City Pay Plan is amended to include the position of Assistant City Accountant, Grade 18, in the Finance Department.

SECTION 3:                       This ordinance being necessary to provide more effective and efficient service to the City of Jonesboro, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordnance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
