RESOLUION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF A STREET IN THE RIDGECREST ADDITION

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That the 19th day of January 1959 is hereby fixed as the day for the hearing upon the petition of John d. Buzbee, his wife and others, requesting the abandonment and vacating of the following described strip of land previously dedicated for street purposes in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
A strip of land 30 feet wide North and South and approximately 265.1 feet East and West, immediately North of and contiguous to Block 3 of Ridgecrest Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas, said strip being bound on the West by Culberhouse Street, on the North by the North Line of Section 30, Township 14 N. Range 4, and on the East by Crescent and Highland Drives; all within the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. (At one time it was probably intended that this strip be a part of Highland Drive, but otherwise no name for purposed street).
The City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice of the time and hearing of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The Notice shall state the names of the persons who signed the petition, the name of the proposed street, if known, or parts thereof, to be vacated and shall identify the same by the abutting lot and block numbers and the Notice shall notify all persons that on the 19th day of January, 1959, the Council will hear and determine whether the above strip of land previously dedicated for street purposes be vacated and abandoned.
