March 17, 2003
The Finance and Administration Committee held a call meeting for the purpose of considering a thirty day paid leave extension for Charlotte Wooten, Administrative Assistant to the Public Safety Director. Those present were Harold Perrin, Darrell Dover, Jim Hargis and Ann Williams. Harold Perrin conducted the meeting in the absence of Alec Farmer.
Ms. Wooten has been critically ill and has used all available sick leave and vacation time. The Public Safety Committee has voted to extend this leave and it must also be approved by the Finance and Administration Committee. A motion was made by Darrel Dover to extend the thirty days paid leave as allowed in our City Employee Handbook. The motion was seconded by Ann Williams. Those voting were Harold Perrin, Darrell Dover, Jim Hargis and Ann Williams. The motion passed unanimously. Per policy this recommendation will be forwarded to the Mayor for his approval.
In further business there was some discussion on the 457 Plan and the scope of proposed audits but this was deferred until the committee’s regular meeting at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2003.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
