RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO HEAR PUBLIC COMMENTS REGARDING THE ADOPTION OF THE AMENDMENT TO THE PROJECT PLAN FOR THE TURTLE CREEK REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas adopted Ordinance Number 3480 on July 19, 2004 which created the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas #1 (“Turtle Creek District”) and approved a Project Plan for the Turtle Creek District and authorized the issuance of Redevelopment Bonds for the benefit of Turtle Creek District; and,
WHEREAS, Turtle Creek Partners, LLC requested a public hearing regarding the adoption of an Ordinance ratifying, confirming, and supplementing Ordinance Number 3480 and adopting an Amendment to the Project Plan for the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas #1 as well as authorizing the final terms of the Redevelopment Bonds pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. Section 14-168-314 through Ark. Code Ann. Section 14-168-320 as previously authorized by Ordinance Number 3480; and,
WHEREAS, the public hearing is scheduled to occur at 6:00 p.m. on December 20, 2004 at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas which is the usual meeting place of the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas for the purpose of hearing public comment for or against the adoption of the Amendment to Ordinance Number 3480.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to give notice to all taxing entities of the public hearing scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on December 20, 2004 and to publish Notice of the public hearing in the Jonesboro Sun once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas designate 6:00 p.m. on December 20, 2004 as the date and time for a public hearing on adopting an Amendment to the Project Plan for the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesb...
