A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE JONESBORO ECONOMICAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM SENIOR CAPTAIN TO TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR

WHEREAS, It has been determined that the duties of the Senior Captain have increased significantly and the increased duties justify the title and rank of Transportation Supervisor;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The title of Transportation Supervisor in the Transportation Department is added to the City of Jonesboro Pay Plan (Resolution No. 2004:02) in Grade 18.
SECTION TWO: The 2006 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro will not be affected by the addition of the Transportation Supervisor.
SECTION THREE: There are sufficient funds in the budget and no additional money will need to be appropriated.
SECTION FOUR: Due to the immediate need to facilitate efficient operations of the Transportation Department this resolution shall be retroactive beginning October 1, 2006.
