ORDINANCE WIDENING JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN MADISON AND UNION

Jefferson Avenue between Madison Street and Union Street shall be widened and opened, by the condemnation of property on the North side of said street, and by the removal of obstructions along the property so condemned, so as to make said portion of said avenue of equal width with the portion thereof West of Madison Avenue.
The City Attorney, acting in conjunction with the Mayor and Street Committee, shall take all and any such steps as may be advisable or necessary to condemn the abutting property, and to open and widen the said street, including the institution of proceedings in court for that purpose.
