AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR AND ALLOW PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS AND TO ESTABLISH LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONES

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That it shall be, and is hereby declared to be lawful to park vehicle on the South Side of Matthews Avenue from the West line of Kitchens Street to a point 50 feet West of the West line of Patrick Street.
SECTION 2. That is shall be and is hereby declared to be lawful to park vehicles upon the North side of Creath Avenue from the West line of East Street to a point One Hundred and Fifty feet West of said West line of East Street. The parking herein provided for in this section shall be for purpose of loading and unloading only; and parking for any other purposes shall be a violation of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. Violating of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding fifteen dollars.
SECTION 4. And it being found that citizens and merchants are suffering due to lack of proper provisions for ingress and egress to their homes and businesses and that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect, from and after its passage and publication.
