AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
Rezone from R-1 portion to R-2A and rezone the R-2 portion to R-2A of Lot 19 (as shown by plat in Plat Book “B”, Page 89 of Replat of Lot 1 of Davis Replat of Lot 15 of J. A. Lamberth Subdivision and Lot 16 and 18 of a Replat of Lot 16, 17, 18 and 21 of J. A. Lamberth Subdivision in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, as shown by plat in Plat Book “B” page 89, and Replat of Lot 19 of Rick Holcomb’s Replat of Lot 19 and 20 of J. A. Lamberth Subdivision in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, as shown by plat in Plat Book “B” at page 75.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
