RESOLUTION TO DISCONTINUE THE TRAVELERS LIFE AND ANNUITY GROUP CONTRACT

WHEREAS, upon review of the alternatives regarding the Non-Uniform Employee Pension Plan, it appears to be in the best interest of the employees to discontinue the Travelers Life and Annuity Group Annuity Contract GR-1625.  

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that, pending approval of the State Insurance Department, the Travelers contract be discontinued effective on or around September 1, 1997.
