AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 13-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSES FOR OCCUPATION TAX AND DELINQUENCY PENALTY

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Section 13-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is hereby amended by adding the following clause after paragraph two (2):

The City Collector shall publish, in a local newspaper of general city wide circulation, a list of all persons failing, neglecting or refusing to pay their license or occupation tax. Said list of delinquencies shall be published by the City Collector on or before the first day of July of each year.

Section 2: This Ordinance shall be retroactive to January 1, 1965, and shall apply to the 1965 taxes.
