A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH GRANT COUNTY, ARKANSAS TO TRANSFER AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT ENTITLEMENT FUNDS BETWEEN GRANT COUNTY, ARKANSAS AND THE CITY OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Grant County, Arkansas desire to enter into an agreement regarding the exchange of $150,000 in Airport Improvement Entitlement Funds in fiscal years 2016 and 2017; and
WHEREAS, said agreements are attached hereto and the terms set out therein;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro approves the Agreements with Grant County, Arkansas to exchange $150,000 in Airport Improvement Entitlement Funds between the two parties in fiscal years 2016 and 2017. That the terms of the Agreements are that Grant County, Arkansas is transferring $150,000 in funds to the City of Jonesboro in fiscal year 2016 and the City of Jonesboro is transferring $150,000 to Grant County, Arkansas in fiscal year 2017. The transfer of funds is needed to effectuate the master plan for the Jonesboro Municipal Airport. All other details of the agreement are set out in the attachments hereto.
2. The Mayor, Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
