AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING PROJECT

WHEREAS ,the City of Jonesboro desires to appropriate the amount of $35,000.00 to be used as a deposit for Preliminary Engineering on a project for the extension of Lawson Road from Carmel Road to South Culberhouse. Said deposit will be applied to the City of Jonesboro’s matching share when the construction contract is awarded and;

WHEREAS, the State of Arkansas has agreed to participate in the design and construction of said project and has assigned State and Federal Job Numbers FAP STP-9227 (36) for said project,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: That the City Council for the City of Jonesboro appropriates the amount of $35,000.00 for their deposit for Preliminary Engineering associated with the Lawson Road Project Extension.

SECTION 2: That the 2006 Budget is hereby amended to reflect said appropriation money to come from the unappropriated fund balance of the Capital Improvement Fund.
