RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS GRANTS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR THE FY23 FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION GRANT

WHEREAS, applications are now being accepted for the FY23 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant; and
WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro is seeking $18,128.91 in private funds for the purchase of one digital fire extinguisher training system module, with no required local match; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro will amend the FY23 budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas supports the submission of the FY23 Subs Firehouse Public Safety Foundation Grant to the Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation for the purchase of one digital fire extinguisher training system module.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this application.
SECTION 3: The Grants and Community Development Department is hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to submit all necessary documents for this private program.
