AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 954, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, TO REZONE FROM R-2 TO C-5, CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1504 EAST MATTHEWS

WHEREAS, the applicant Louise Nance, is desirous of rezoning certain property located at 1504 East Matthews, Jonesboro, Arkansas, from R-2 to C-5; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing regarding the proposed rezoning of certain property generally located at East Matthews and Roland Street (1504 East Matthews) and has recommended to the city council, the rezoning of such property from R-2 to C-5 as indicated below.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
(1) That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be, and the same hereby is, amended by changing the zoning classification of certain property generally located on East Matthews Avenue and Roland Street (1504 East Matthews) in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, from R-2 residential to C-5 Commercial, such real property being more particularly described as follows:
Lot 1 of the Replat of Lots 4 and 5, Block 1, Patrick’s Second Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas as shown on plat, such being formerly platted as the North 138 feet of Lot 5 and the West 50 feet of Lot 4, all in Block 1, Patrick’s Second Addition to the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas, the same being a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 14 North, Range 4 East.
