A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH NRS CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION OF ALLEN PARK LIGHTING PROJCET

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Allen Park located at 3609 Race
St.;
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to install parking lot and security lighting at Allen Park;
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department, Public Services Committee, and Mayor have determined that NRS Engineering is the most qualified firm for the project;
WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $15,000.00 to perform coordinate the bidding and construction inspection for the project;
WHEREAS, funds for the contract shall come from the Community Development Block Grant HUD ID#64, Account 10-0888-0500-64.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $15,000 to design, perform and coordinate bidding according to HUD guidelines, and perform all and final inspections to the lighting project at Allen Park. A copy of said contract is attached as "Exhibit A."
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
