A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH NRS CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR DESIGN OF THE CEMETERY MAINTENANCE FACILITY AND INSPECTION OF CEMETERY EXCAVATION

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Oaklawn Cemetery located at 2349 W. Matthews.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to develop a site plan for the cemetery maintenance facility and seeking assistance in inspecting the construction and excavation of the new sections of Oaklawn Cemetery;
WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers has completed site grading and cemetery design on the Oaklawn Cemetery expansion project;
WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $48,850.00 to design the cemetery maintenance facility, coordinate the bidding and perform construction inspection for the excavation;
WHEREAS, funds for the contract shall come from the perpetual care fund 17-100-0314-00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $48,850.00 design the cemetery maintenance facility, coordinate the bid process and inspect construction on the expansion to Oaklawn Cemetery.
SECTION2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
