AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS 1 THROUGH 5 OF THE WEST HALF OF LOT 5 OF COBB & LEE SURVEY, JONESBORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, FROM (R-1 TO R-3) ROBERT CHASTAIN

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby rezones Lots 1 through 5 of the West Half of Lot 5 Lee & Cobb Survey to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, from R-1 to R-3.
SECTION 2: There are not less than three (3) copies on a correct legal description of said property now on file in the Office of the City Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as set out therein and shall be in full force and effect from the date which this article shall take effect.
SECTION 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
