RESOLUTION RENAMING STREETS IN THE NETTLETON WARD

WHEREAS, the Cities of Jonesboro and Nettleton, Arkansas, have been duly consolidated into one city; and
WHEREAS, because of such consolidation there exist certain duplications in the names of certain streets in the said consolidated city; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to rename certain streets within said city so as to avoid said duplication for the purpose of fire and police protection and to avoid confusion in mail delivery; and
WHEREAS, the property owners running upon said certain streets have petitioned and asked that certain streets be renamed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, in regular meeting assembled, on this the 21st day of July, 1958, that certain streets in the now consolidated City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be changed or renamed as follows:
(1) That Woodrow Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to Irby Street;
(2) That North Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to Arch Street;
(3) That Jackson Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to Long Street;
(4) That Alice Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to North Kathleen Street;
(5) That Elm Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to Willow Road;
(6) That Church Street in the former City of Nettleton be and is hereby changed to Boydstun Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro be and is hereby directed to file and record a copy of this Resolution in the office of the Circuit Court Clerk and Ex Officio Recorder for the Jonesboro District of Craighead County, Arkansas.
