Minutes for the special called City Council meeting on February 12, 1974

The City Council held a hearing on Jonesboro Cable TV’s request for a rate increase, Tuesday night, February 12, 1974, at 7:00 p.m. There were present: Mayor, City Attorney and the following named Councilmen: Pierce, Park, Dr. Bowers, Hannah, Stricklin, Minx, Smith, Bowers, Johnson and Ward.
After a lengthy discussion, Dr. Bowers moved with Mr. Park seconding the motion that the request for a rate increase for Jonesboro Cable TV be denied. On calling the roll, voting nay - Stricklin and Ward. Voting aye, Pierce, Park, Dr. Bowers, Hannah, Minx, Smith, Bowers and Johnson. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Council voted to adjourn.
