BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) To: Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

 

A part of the Northwest 3 of the Northwest 3 of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows: Begin at Northwest corner of said NW 3 NW 3, Section 33 T14N, R4E, Thence South along west line of said 40 acre Tract a distance of 1015.10 ft.; Thence East 30 Ft. to the Point of Beginning Proper; Thence East  400 Ft.; Thence South 120 FT.; Thence East 100 Ft.; Thence North 120.0 Ft.; Thence East 100 Ft.; Thence North 355.1 Ft; Thence West 159.3 Ft.; Thence South 42 ° 24' West 88.5 Ft.; Thence South 62° 42' West 85 ft.; Thence South 86° 00' West 240.8 Ft.; Thence South 58° 46' West 47.2 Ft.; Thence South 07° 17' West 176.1 Ft.; Thence North 89°14' West 7.2 Ft.; Thence South 34.89 Ft. to Point of Beginning Proper.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
