BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by Earl E. Hill and Bernice Hill, his wife, and all other owners of the real property abutting a certain alley between Block 2 of B. F. Mackey's Sub-division of Block 11 of Senter & Company addition and Block 14 of Senter & Company Addition to the City of Jonesboro praying that said alley be closed and abandoned as follows:
 
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 5 of Block 2 of B. F. Mackey's Sub-division of Block 11 of Senter & Company Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence south 10 feet to the northeast corner of Block 14 of Senter & Company Addition; thence west to the northwest corner of Block 14 of Senter & Company Addition; thence north to the southwest corner of Lot 1 Block 2 of B. F. Mackey's Sub-division of Block 11 of Senter & Company Addition; thence east to the point of beginning being an alley 10 feet north and south and 600 feet east and west lying between Wofford and Rains Street in the City of Jonesboro.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas give notice by publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County advising the property owners affected that on the 6th day of April, 1959 the Council will hear the said petition and determine whether such property shall be abandoned as an alley, and whether all abutting property owners and other person directly interested have consented to such abandonment.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of March, 1959.
