1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll call by Clerk
3. Approval of minutes from July 20, 1998, and July 27, 1998, as provided.
4. City Attorney:
(A) Decision by Council - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-4), located on the north side of Highland Drive, east of Hillcrest Drive. (J. D. Crocker)
(B) 3rd reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-3), located south of Macedonia Road, east of Clubhouse Drive. (Sage Meadows)
(C) 1st reading - Ordinance vacating and abandoning two easements located in Block D and Block E of Dunwoody-Huntcliff Estates. (Skip Macon)
(D) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the north side of Woodsprings Road, west of Highway 63 Bypass. (Charles Layne)
5. Resolution to proceed with condemnation action on two Jonesboro properties located at 512 N. Bridge and at 4935 E. Nettleton.
6. Review the following Bids:
98:26 - Scott Air Packs - Fire Department
98:27 - Uniform Rental - Cemetery, Street, Sanitation, & Parks Departments
7. Resolution to establish a policy for the collection of amounts due to the City of Jonesboro for services and/or materials.
8. Resolution authorizing the removal of uncollectible proof-of-publication and mowing accounts receivable from the financial records.
9. Resolution to provide “STOP” signs at the following locations within Jonesboro:
