RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON AN UNDEVELOPED PORTION OF MAIN STREET AS REQUESTED BY FOWLER FOODS

WHEREAS, the abutting property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon a portion of Main Street which is undeveloped and which is located South of Highland Drive in the Belmont Addition to the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned undeveloped street and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on September 7, 1999, at 6:15 o'clock p.m. a the City Police & Courts Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
