RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE NOTICE OF INTENT TO RENEGOTIATE THE AGREEMENT WITH CRAIGHEAD COUNTY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE E-911 EMERGENCY AND DISPATCH CENTER

WHEREAS, on March 31, 2004, the City of Jonesboro previously entered into an agreement with Craighead County, Arkansas for operation of the E-911 Emergency and Dispatch Center, and

 

WHEREAS, by the terms provided said agreement expires on December 31, 2010, and

 

WHEREAS, the parties are required to provide one year’s notice of the intent to renegotiate said agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

1)                     The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to renegotiate the agreement with Craighead County for operating a joint E-911 Emergency and Dispatch Center.

 

2)                     This resolution serves as notice to Craighead County of the intent to renegotiate pursuant to the terms of the existing agreement.
