AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES AND ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No.954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes and zoning classifications as follows: From Commercial (C-3) to Industrial (I-1) the following described property:
Lot 7, Block B, the East 30 feet of Lot 3, all of Lots 4, 5, 6 and 10 and the East 80 feet of Lot 9, Block C together with a portion of an abandoned alley all located in East Nettleton Second Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tracts of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
