Minutes for the City Council meeting on March 15, 1965

The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas met in regular session at City Hall, Monday night, March 15, 1965, at 7:30 p.m. There were present: Mayor, City Attorney, City Clerk and the following named Councilmen: Sammons, Griffin, Wilson, Bridger, Darling, Stallings, Heern, Williams, Pardew, Mays, Ledbetter and Snow.
Mr. Sammons offered the following ordinance for its first reading:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES.
The following ordinance was on its third and final reading:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 13-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSES FOR OCCUPATION TAX AND DELINQUENCY PENALTY.
Mr. Mays then moved with Mr. Bridger seconding the motion that the ordinance be adopted. On calling the roll, all voted aye and the motion was carried. The ordinance was given the number 1117.
Mr. Snow made the motion, seconded by Mr. Stallings that the bills as okayed by the Finance Committee be paid. Roll was called. All members voted aye and the motion carried.
There being no further business, Council voted unanimously to adjourn.
