AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS FOR PURCHASE OF 1H-200 SCRAPER:

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: The City Council finds and declares that there is a need to purchase a 1H-200 Scraper immediately.

Section 2: Said Scraper may be purchased immediately for Ed Ball for the sum of Twelve Thousand and Five Hundred Dollars ($12,500.00). The City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to purchase said Scraper.

Section 3: The City Council finds and declares that the immediate purchase of said Scraper is necessary for the health and welfare of the citizens of Jonesboro. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and due to said emergency the Council waves the usual bidding requirements and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
