A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT AN AGREEMENT WITH KENNETH A. YARBROUGH AND CORLISS LYNN YARBROUGH FOR DONATION OF ADDITIONAL LAND FOR THE EXTENSION OF LAWSON ROAD

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has desires to accept certain land to the City of Jonesboro in the Valley View area as described in the attached Exhibit “B” from Kenneth A. Yarbrough and Corliss Lynn Yarbrough for the extension of Lawson Road;

WHEREAS, Kenneth A. Yarbrough and Corliss Lynn Yarbrough will donate the necessary additional right-of-way and permanent drainage easement to complete the installation of additional in ground drainage improvements;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1:                     That the City of Jonesboro shall accept certain land to the City of Jonesboro in the Valley View area as described in the attached Exhibit “B” from Kenneth A. Yarbrough and Corliss Lynn Yarbrough for the extension of Lawson Road;

SECTION 2:                     The Mayor, Doug Formon, and the City Clerk, Donna K. Jackson, are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
