RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN LAND LOCATED IN THE JONESBORO CENTER URBAN RENEWAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA, ARK- A-24, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority has proposed to dedicate to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, certain lands in the Neighborhood Development Program Area, Ark. A-24; and,
WHEREAS, a legal description of the parcels is as follows:
That land shown as right-of-way on the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority’s First Replat, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, Jonesboro, Arkansas containing 17,802 square feet, more or less;
A part of Lot 5, Block 5 of Broadaway’s Addition as shown as right-of-way on the plat by Herman Williams, which is attached hereto, dated October 8, 1974, containing 1,434.14 square feet; and
A part of Lot 8 and Lot 9 of Broadaway’s Addition as shown as dedicated right-of-way plat by Herman Williams, which is attached hereto, dated October 8, 1974, containing 2,700 square feet; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has approved the dedication of the above described lands to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas deems the acceptance of the above described lands would be in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the dedication of said right-of-way as shown on the attached re-plat and plats located in the Neighborhood Development Program Area, Ark. A-24 to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is hereby accepted and approved.
