RESOLUTION TO LEVY A 5 MILL TAX ON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN ORDER TO CARRY ON THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO

BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
For all City purposes and in order to carry on the government of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, there shall be and there is hereby levied on all real and personal property within the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the year 1977 taxes at the rate of 5 mills on the dollar based on the appraisement of the County Assessor and the Board of Equalizers for state, county and city taxes. That the City Clerk of the County Court is hereby authorized and directed to place said levy upon the tax books and the same shall be collected. That this resolution be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption because it is found that the City needs to levy taxes herein provided for the efficient operation of the city government.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 1976.
