RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO ENTER ONTO EASEMENTS FOR THE WHITEMAN CREEK DRAINAGE PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, desires to complete a drainage project on the Whiteman Creek Drainage Project and;
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers is assisting in the completion of the Whiteman Creek Drainage Project and is in need of authorization to enter onto the easements previously obtained by the City of Jonesboro.
WHEREAS, professional surveying services are required to accurately locate and describe said rights-of-way and/or easements; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. That the Corps of Engineers and its contractors are hereby authorized to enter onto the easements previously obtained by the City of Jonesboro Whiteman Drainage Project to assist in construction and maintenance of this drainage project.
2. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
