RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS APPROVING CHANGE ORDER # 1 WITH KNISH CORPORATION FOR  2002 DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro approved a contract for Sidewalk and Curb and Gutter Improvements under the 2002 Jonesboro downtown sidewalk improvement project, AHTD job No. 100557 by resolution # 2003:70 dated October 6, 2003.

WHEREAS, the City is desirous to change the project with change order #1 as attached by increasing the contract $17,779.00 (Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Nine and 00/100), recommended by the Finance and Grants Committee on May 20, 2004.

WHEREAS, the increase of $17,779.00 is within the total allocated amount approved, of which eighty percent of the funds will come from the State Highway Department and the remaining twenty percent will come from the City budget, fund line item GL-717, previously approved by the City Council.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts change order #1 of $17,779.00 from Knish Corporation as attached.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute this change order.
