AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2470, SECTION 5, BY ADDING REQUIREMENTS FOR PLATS THAT ARE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, it has been determined that due to improper plat submissions many properties are unable to be located for evaluation prior to consideration by the City Council.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 2470, Section 5 is hereby amended as follows: Twenty (20) copies of any and all documentation submitted shall be provided to the City Clerk and shall be on a mailable size of no larger than 8-1/2 inches x 14 inches.

 

(1)   Each plat shall contain a vicinity map at a scale of no smaller than one inch equals 1500 feet (1" = 1500') with the area under consideration being vividly identified

(2)   Each plat shall contain a legal description of the property

(3)   Each plat shall contain a survey of the property which shall include all structures, easements and other features about the property

(4)   Each plat shall be completely legible

 

SECTION 2: Failure to comply with these requirements will be cause for disapproval or tabling until such time as proper documents are submitted

 

SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

 

SECTION 4: If is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this the 1st day of June, 1998.
