AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON JAY COVE IN JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows: "Jay Cove being shown by Plat of Lot 15 of J. A. Lamberth Subdivision and Lots 16 and 18 of the Replat of Lots 16, 17, 18 and 21 of J. A. Lamberth Subdivision, all in Jonesboro, Arkansas shown on the attached Plat which is incorporated herein".
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filled in the Deed Records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above street is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above street is in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it's passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of October, 1989.
