AN ORDINANCE TO CORRECT ORDINANCE NO. 2204

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That ordinance No. 954, known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in the zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential (R - 2) to Commercial (C -2) the following described property:
HAMLIN PROPERTY
The East Half of Lot 3 and all of Lot 4 in Block 1 of Cole’s Subdivision of Lot 7 in Block 1 of Cole’s Subdivision of Lots 1 and 2 in Block 4 of Flint’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, being 60 by 140 feet.
BYARD PROPERTY
The West Half of Lot Three (3) and the East Half of Lot Two (2) of Cole’s Sub-division of Lot Seven (7) of Block One (1) of Cole’s Subdivision of Lot One (1) of Block Four (4) of Flint’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, being 40 by 140 feet.
SECTION 2: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby rezones the above described property from R-2 to C-2, with the restrictions that the setbacks meet the requirements of the R-2 zoning to the west and that a privacy fence be constructed on the west property line.
SECTION 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tracts of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
