AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From existing R-1 zoning to request C-3 zoning of the following described property.
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas to wit: From the Northeast corner of said Southeast Quarter Southeast Quarter; Run South 30 feet; then run South 88 degrees 44’ West 40 feet to the point of beginning; then run South 484.0 feet; then run South 88 degrees 44’ West 900.0 feet; then run North 484.0 feet; then run North 88 degrees 44’ East 900.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 10.0 acres.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, be necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
