NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
 
SECTION 1: The City Council finds that Alpine Court running East and West between Lots 1 and 2, Block C and Lots 12 and 13, Block B of Elmwood Subdivision of Woodland Park Section Addition has never been opened to the public.
 
SECTION 2: The City Council finds that Alpline Court running East and West between Lots 1 and 2, Block C and Lots 12 and 13, Block B of Elmwood Subdivision of Woodland Park Second Addition is not needed for public purpose now or in the foreseeable future.
 
SECTION 3: The City Council pursuant to A.C.A. ยง 14-54-104 (2) (1987) abandons and vacates Alpine Court running East and West between Lots 1 and 2, Block C and Lots12 and 13, Block B of Elmwood Subdivision of Woodland Part Second Addition as recorded in Deed Record 48 page 303, and such property shall inure to the abutting property owners to the centerline of Alpine Court.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas does hereby vacate and abandon that portion of Alpine Court running East and West between Lots 1 and 2, Block C and Lots 12 and 13, Block B of Elmwood  Subdivision of  Woodland  Park Second Addition  as recorded in Deed Record  48 page 303, and further, the City Council finds that an emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the protection and promotion of the public health, safety and welfare, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 1988.
