ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE SECTION 2-576 AND ADD GRANTS CONSULTING AS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas adopted Ordinance Section 2-576 which provides a definition of professional services, and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to amend that definition to add Grants Consulting to the definition of professional services contained in Section 2-576(a), and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 19-11-801 (c) the City of Jonesboro may add to the definition of professional services by a two thirds (2/3) vote of the City Council.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that

Section 1: Ordinance 2-576 (a) shall be amended to add Grants Consulting to the list of professional services defined therein; and

Section 2: Due to the immediate need and continuity of services an emergency is delared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
